Hello Friends,
A majority of my life, I have walked a path of self-discovery alone. I have learned to navigate life's challenges and hold space for others as they too embark on their personal journeys. But along the way, I have come to recognize that very few have been there to hold space on the same level.
I am the type of person who keeps my circle small. So, if I hear something said about me that rings true, I can easily trace back to the source. There is a distinct difference between being known by many and having genuine friends.
While I have lived in various places, immersed myself in different cultures, and incorporated those experiences into my own life. It has all been done solely for my growth to be a better person. Whether I found myself in a destructive cycle or hit rock bottom, it was clear that I was the only one who could save myself.
Once I realized that no knight in shining armor would come to my rescue- it became a pivotal moment. It presented me with a choice - to succumb to the darkness or to connect with a higher source and become a source of light in the world. Growing without proper nurturing and the support of others can be incredibly challenging. It's like trying to bloom in the desert without water or sunlight.
If you find yourself feeling alone on your own journey, know that there are many others who can relate to your struggles. It's crucial to lock in with yourself, to ensure that even when the world seems to be against you, you have your own back.
Never allow yourself to become your biggest opponent or hater. Instead, hold yourself accountable and shower yourself with the love and care you deserve. Step up and do better.
Breaking free from bad habits and developing healthy ones is a hard part of this process. Recognize that your potential is not limited by what others believe, but by what you believe you can accomplish.
Set unreasonable goals, push yourself beyond limits, and refuse to settle for mediocrity. Even when you reach the top, keep looking up, because growth is a lifelong journey.
These days its easy to feel disconnected and alone, it's so very essential to remember that you matter. Embrace the strength that lies within you. And if no one else is there to hold space for you, learn to hold space for yourself. You are capable of creating an incredible, purposeful life. So keep going, keep growing, and keep shining your light into the world.
Love and be loved,
Trisha Sullivan
